Bass Traps are very useful and it is rare to find a room that doesn't benefit from their use. Bass Traps are used to reduce the uneven nature of bass in a room and to improve the ‘tightness' of the low end. Just like mid and high frequency treatment, Bass Traps need to be used in the right amounts so that they work properly.

FONIC BASS TRAP INSTALLATION GUIDE
Fonic Bass Traps are designed for use in the corners where two surfaces meet at 90 degrees (placed anywhere else they will not have the same effect on low frequencies), this is usually where two walls meet. They are also made to be stacked on top of each other as high as the ceiling permits. To further improve the performance, Fonic Low/Mid Traps can be snugly fitted behind Fonic Bass Traps.
