BAND IN A BUBBLE

"The Bubble project would not have been possible ( or it would have made it very difficult ) without the use of the Fonic acoustic treatment system. From the early stages the bubble designs slowly became more and more like a box ( due to budget restrictions ) giving me a slight panic. Not so much having a control room that was virtually square but also made of glass - stupid, crazy, I could go on. The Fonic bass traps eliminated all of the flutter in the room leaving the bottom end quiet true. The roof tiles were fantastic, They held up with double sided tape, reduced the reflections greatly, ( The floor and roof were parallel ) and looked a treat. So neat and easy to install. We also tried our hardest to make an anechoic chamber. It worked a treat and was so easy to achieve. Thanks Andrew - you rock!"

For a musician, the effect of the Fonic Tiles is like having a new instrument. I’ve used acoustic tiles before, but Fonic Tiles impressed me beyond my expectations. I honestly couldn’t believe I was playing the same instrument. So many of the problems with sound quality, that I had attributed to the idiosyncrasies of a very well-loved piano, were actually being caused by the acoustics of my room. And to think I was considering spending a couple of thousand dollars on a new piano!

Let’s face it, architects are not audio engineers…. And they don’t build houses to optimize the acoustic properties of a room. Many people (myself included) underestimate the effect of room acoustics on the sound that they experience. Unfortunately, this is often the determining factor in whether the sound produced is heard as beautiful or irritating.

Fonic Tiles clean up standing waves and harmonic distortions that even the best technician struggles with. In addition to optimizing the acoustics of a room, I can tell you that they also look fantastic. With a little imagination, they can even be used as a feature (see photos).

I would recommend Fonic Tiles to anyone who is looking to enhance sound quality without spending a fortune or making their home look like a recording studio.
